As a senior staff accountant, you’ll be an essential part of our team working directly with other team members to provide high-quality services to our clients. Your duties will include understanding clients and their businesses, training junior staff, delivering exceptional advisory services, recommending & mastering the latest solutions, and contributing to the success of the entire team. This position will allow for hybrid or fully remote options.

Your Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performing full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping tasks
  • Learning and mastering the latest cloud-based accounting tools
  • Providing exceptional client advisory services
  • Preparing personal and corporate tax returns and Notice to Reader
  • Conduct CRA queries, government registrations, and other related matters
  • Work and think outside of the box to provide efficient and effective solutions
  • Other projects as needed

Your Skills & Experience

  • University degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA-CA or CPA-CGA) or nearing completion
  • 2-4 years’ working experience in public accounting
  • Strong General business knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both oral & written
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and work well independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in learning and trying out new software/technologies
  • Can work effectively both in office and from home
